Given that it will be very difficult for Magdalena Andersson to form a government with the current opposition parties (the Center Party has stated that it will not join a government with the Left Party), I’m surprised by the vote here on Polymarket. It won’t be easy for Kristersson either, but right now the market offers a chance to almost multiply your bet here on Polymarket a hundredfold.

  • ToothyPnX4h ago

don't worry Magdalena will be PM, hold your bag and keep trying to make people buy the dip to save you but its will not happen.

SVT: Ulf Kristersson resigns as Prime Minister.

  • greedindex1d ago

the vote was over on election night and someone's still paying 6.5 for kristersson, it was called on polybro before the speeches ended, the free 6.5 is somehow still there

    0

  • kanonmicke1d ago

I pay for kristersson, this bet is not about the election result, it's about who will be the next prime minister. 1:16 odds is pretty good since the chance for C to step to the right and SD continues to just support them is very high.

    This election is crazy btw

    0

  • degenladder1d ago

the vote's been done for days and someone's still paying 6.5 for kristersson, i got my polybro window open for this exact reason

  • mous87-1d ago

the vote's been done for days and someone's still paying 6.5 for kristersson, andersson was locked at 91.5 on polybro window before the count finished, that leftover's still free, come onnn

  • rpoy111d ago

there is a real possibilty for a reelection, and even tho the left won the election that doesn't mean they will be able to form a goverment. I would actually say that the odds should be hinger then 6.5 for kristersson

  • FishermansFiend2d ago

It will be difficult for the left bloc to form a government, but I think ultimately V will be forced to accept some kind of compromise on cabinet membership, because the alternative - giving the neo-nazi collaborator bloc a chance at getting into government again - is much more disastrous than any loss of prestige or harmful precedent it would set. C has more freedom of action so has the upper hand in negotiations.

As a complete newbie to swedish politics, someone explain why Andersson isnt at 100% yet

    0

  • Alexxieaz2d ago

apparently its a month til results are out, fml

    0

  • rpoy112d ago

No, results will be out by thursday but they will have so much problems forming a new government so the prime minister wont be choosen in literally months most likely. Plus it is possible for a reelection and then this market would be refunded

    0

  • GollumGekko2d ago

It won’t be refunded , will stay open ,

  • KenanEvren1d ago

There's only like 27k votes difference, and votes are still being counted.

  • kanonmicke2d ago

The left side have to form a goverment with more the 50%. They need to convince an islamic communist party and a party on the right side to participate to form a socialist government. I think they will fail. The right side will convince the Center-Party to join them for another four years since they are much more alike. Fight Ulf, Fight...

and more votes are reported on wednesday which may lead to right side victory. small change but possible, has happened before

    0

  • TheSharpBettorZA2d ago

Centre refuse to be in a coalition with the SD, which completely rules out the right taking power.

  • iForgor3d ago

(sigh) ok how long do we have to wait exactly?

    1

  • rpoy112d ago

It will be super hard for the left to form a government so If you are not prepared to hold for literally months then you should sell

    0

  • TheSwedishWolf2d ago

Forming a government will be rough. This will drag out.

    0

  • saneperson2d ago

I already told you its going to take weeks at BEST case scenario, worst case is it takes MONTHS and a reelection will happen

    0

  • SurferOfDreams3d ago

Word of caution for foreigners: Swedish politics are complicated, even though Magdalena represents the biggest party, they have to pull off a government without multiple attempts or new election (notice the description " following the next parliamentary election"). May look like free money on the table to bet on Magdalena but it is not risk-free.

    0

  • FishermansFiend2d ago

A word of caution for people without reading comprehension: that it says "following the next parliamentary election" does not exclude a result where Magdalena is appointed after multiple elections in between. That would still be following the first election.

    Madam Minister, come back.

    what are we waiting now

    0

  • saneperson3d ago

Hahaha let me explain swedish politics for you, in the coming weeks (29th september) they will have a vote and most likely magdalena wont have enough support to become prime minister, if you are lucky this vote will only happen 1-3 times if it keeps going for months a reelection will happen

    0

  • saneperson3d ago

AKA ur gonna have to hold this for weeks (if you are lucky) and months if you are unlucky

    0

  • iForgor3d ago

So 29th of sep or delayed further correct?

For the time being, the left side has won, but it cannot be ruled out that the overseas votes could still flip the result.

    1

  • Veckopengen4d ago

Magdalena Andersson should not have a 90% chance of becoming prime minister when the vote results are this close, especially given the long negotiation process before that possibility can be realized.

    4

  • GrokEnjoyer4d ago

per grok she is winning alot though

    1

  • ToothyPnX4d ago

its 90% bc market believe it as people are msotly selling out the right side if u want it to not be 90% drop in bug money buying the right leaders shares

    1

  • snayaye3d ago

then put $100k and drop her odds lower lmao

    0

  • Molobio4d ago

We’ll see how this ends but there is definitely a possibility of a government with the social democrats and moderates and perhaps the greens or the center to fill up the rest of the seats. In such a government Magdalena will probably want to be prime minister but depending on which party they collaborate with there might be a possibility for Ulf as well.

i thought S and M were polar opposites historically; even though that sounds like an excellent result in my dreams
